Bonar Law to acknowledge the receipt

of your letter dated the 29th of

July, marked "II", regarding certain

goods shipped to the order of your

Company before the outbreak of war,

by the German steamer"Sigmaringen".

Mr. Bonar Law observes that

although these goods were consigned

to Hong Kong they are intended for

sale in China. The documents submitted

by you contain no indication of the

persona to whom they were to be sold

in China, and he would, therefore, be

glad if you would inform him whether

it is still intended to send the

goods to China from Hong Kong, and if

so, to whom they will be consigned.
